Master craftsman Mr.

It is the 6 sun 23 step Utamaro KR. . He only made 5 of these boxes with the
Kuroasa (black hemp) pattern on the 2 sides and 2 ends
Master Craftsman Mr.Yoshikazu GotoMr. Yoshikazu Goto was born in Hokone, Japan in 1935. Through the 45 years experience in wood working, he has achieved a skill level to produce a top quality Himitsu-Bako. His careful selection of material and his dedication to produce these masterpieces is the reason he has won many awards through the years. He is always very carefully drying wood material as he insists the most important thing for wood working is "Enough Dry Up".

I
This is a superb 9 step box by Mr Hiroyuki Oka.
The "lake" (Sansui) scene and the "dog" on the reverse are scene inlays accomplished by Mr. Koichi Yamaguchi.
The lake scene I think is really superb as
Mr Yamaguchi makes use of the sky colours in a
remarkable way.

The lovely mosaic is called "ITIMATU" and currently, only used by Mr Oka.

Just a few from my own collection !
I have a very nice collection which I may be offering
for sale in the near future !!!
